As the sequence is set in a clinic, it made sense to us that the main character and the bodies would be in white robes.
Medical Gown splattered with blood
This was the medical gown which the main character puts on in the film. It is splattered with blood to suggest that the patient was still alive when wearing it, whilst the other gown is smeared with blood to suggest that they died. These gowns were bought for a cheap price on amazon, paid for equally by the group.
This is effective as it gets the audience to think about why the gown has blood on it. Audience research suggested that fake blood isn't too much of an issue as long as it was realistic, and so we used the fake blood in a realistic way to make the audience feel on edge.
Medical Gown smeared with blood
This is the other medical gown, worn by the dead character. The fake blood is smeared to suggest that the person has died.
